SITE participated and presented on the 22th International Meeting of National Mine Action Programme Directors and United Nations Advisers (NDM-UN), Palais des nations in Geneva Switzerland, February 4 – 8, 2019.
The topic for the event was “Emerging Technology for Mine Action in the Context of Displacement”. The displacement caused by current and past conflicts directly impacts humanitarian mine action and the event explored various modern technologies such as precise UAV detection, efficient digital management tools and risk education that can help mitigate these risks.
The result of the Lebanon project, where T-IMS at that time had been used for a period of six months in land release activities, was presented by Torsten Vikström.
